Carolyn Archibold
Carolyn qualified as a physiotherapist from Guy's Hospital, London, in 1985, and gained an MSc with distinction from St George's Medical School, London, in 1995.
Carolyn has extensive clinical experience in neurology and neurosurgery and has worked in specialist neurological rehabilitation units, both in the UK and in New Zealand.
Carolyn has also worked as a care advisor for several leading neurological charities and held a post as Senior Lecturer in the School of Health at the University of Teeside.
Carolyn has over 13 years' experience as a Brain Injury Case Manager.

Carolyn has extensive experience in the clinical assessment and provision of case management services to clients with acquired brain injuries. Her experience includes working with families, resourcing services in private and statutory sectors, and advising on rehabilitation, accommodation and equipment provision. She is responsible for the recruitment and training of support teams, including provision of 24-hour care teams.
Carolyn was elected to the BABICM council and has completed reviews for members hoping to achieve Advanced Membership.
Carolyn also prepares expert care reports for the Court.

Philippa Fancourt
Philippa first qualified as an Occupational Therapist with BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Southampton University in 1997.
Philippa has had extensive experience in the UK and South Africa in working with adults and children with complex neurological disabilities.

Philippa has had considerable experience in working with, leading and training multi-disciplinary teams both as an Occupational Therapist and as a Case Manager. She has expertise in the assessment and provision of specialist equipment and housing adaptations.
Philippa also prepares expert care reports for the Court.
Philippa has a holistic approach to her work as a Case Manager and is able to offer support and guidance to enable clients to achieve their goals and optimise their potential.

Nicole Cocksedge
Nicole qualified as an occupational therapist in 1995 from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She has worked as a case manager since 2011. She has also lectured in neurology and vocational rehabilitation, and worked for 8 years as the clinical lead of a specialist community brain injury service.
Nicole has extensive clinical experience, having been a case manager since 2011. She joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2020. As well as traumatic brain injury, she has experience in managing spinal, complex orthopaedics, medicine and surgery clients.
In recent years she has lectured or given presentations at King’s College Hospital London and the Oliver Zangwill Centre.
She was also a Research Fellow leading a research project in association with Cambridge University CLAHRC.

Andrea Burns
Andrea qualified as a physiotherapist from Leipzig University Hospital, Germany, in 1996 and obtained UK state registration from UCL, London in 2003.
Andrea has extensive clinical experience in the treatment of adults with complex neurological disability and she has worked in specialist neurological settings both in the UK and in Germany.
After moving to the UK, Andrea worked in the NHS and in 2005 joined the therapy team in a rehabilitation unit for people with acquired neurological disability.
In 2006, Andrea was appointed Therapy Manager with the responsibility for the development of therapy service in the unit and the management of the therapy team.
Andrea joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2013, where she provides case management services to adult clients with acquired brain injury including recruitment and supervision of extensive care and therapy packages.

Helen Wheeler
Helen initially qualified as an Occupational Therapist with a BSc (Hons) from London South Bank University. She then went on to obtain a Post Graduate Certificate with Merit in Business Admin from the Open University.
Helen qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2007 and now specialises in the treatment of clients following neurological trauma.
She previously worked as a Senior Occupational Therapist within a neurological rehabilitation centre, where she set up the occupational therapy services and reformed the activities services. This included setting up the service protocol, selection of assessment tools, service appraisal and the formulation of a business development plan.
Helen joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2015, where she works with brain injured clients to access appropriate services and set up rehabilitation programmes, as well as managing large care teams for both adults and children, and ensuring that the day-to-day needs of the client are met.

Johanna Miners
Johanna qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008 with a first class BSc (Hons) from Colchester Institute, having previously obtained a degree in Health Studies from Chichester Institute of Higher Education.
Johanna qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008 and until recently worked as a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist covering inpatient rehabilitation and the Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team for the Neurological Rehabilitation Team within the South Essex Partnership Trust (NHS).
She joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2016, where she works with brain injured clients to access appropriate services and set up rehabilitation programmes, as well as managing support teams for both adults and children, and ensuring that the day-to-day needs of the client are met.
Through working as a senior member of a therapy team within the NHS, she developed professional relationships with a variety of agencies, and the skills to set goals and objectives for care teams.
She has led multi-disciplinary teams along with wider multi-professional teams including social workers and medical staff, as well as developing training programmes, and supporting and encouraging junior team members to develop.

Michelle Nyamunda
Michelle qualified as an Occupational Therapist with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Northampton. She then went on to obtain a Facilitation of Education Practice (Level 7) from Hertfordshire University.
Michelle joined CA Case Management Ltd as a Brain Injury Case Manager in January 2017. Prior to this she worked as a Community Occupational Therapist within Social Services for Essex County Council which involved the following:

- Completing assessments and documentation in accordance with the Care Act.
- Assessing for adaptations in patients’ homes.
- Assessing for and providing equipment aids.

Joely Bostock
Joely qualified as a RGN/RSCN from Sheffield School of Nursing in 1992 and has worked extensively in paediatrics, including paediatric intensive care.
Joely is a Brain Injury Case Manager (paediatric) for CA Case Management Ltd. This involves working with children with acquired brain injury or cerebral palsy and their families to access appropriate services and set up rehabilitation programmes as required, as well as managing care teams and ensuring that the day-to-day needs of the clients are met.
She provides complex care training and clinical support consultancy to CA Case Management Ltd. Courses are designed and tailored around individual requirements, involving practical skills as well as background theory including:

Wendy Hawkins

Pippa De Labillière
Pippa qualified with a Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy from Guy’s Hospital School of Physiotherapy in 1991. Her dissertation was in Cerebral Palsy.

Kay Taylor
Kay joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2021 as a Brain Injury and Spinal Case Manager, having worked in this field since 2015. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist in New Zealand in 2008. Kay case manages adults and children who have sustained a brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy and other complex physical or psychological trauma.
In addition to the above, Kay works as an expert witness/rehabilitation cost consultant.
Kay has worked in various acute and community-based roles, and has developed a sound clinical knowledge of the impact serious injuries and complex healthcare needs have on the individual and their ability to perform activities of daily living, leisure, and work activities. She has worked with clients with a variety of neurological conditions, physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviour, and life limiting/palliative care needs. Kay has significant experience working with nonverbal clients and those using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).

Natasha Knott
Natasha joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2021 as a Brain and Spinal Injury Case Manager. She qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2015 with a BSc Hons from the University of Essex. Her specialist area of clinical practice is neurological conditions including brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Prior to her career as a case manager, she held a senior position as an Occupational Therapist within the NHS.
Natasha specialises in the management of complex neurological disability and promotion of health and well-being. She has experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and management of care planning and risk assessments.
Throughout her career she has managed the discharge planning process for clients with complex needs, and has experience in working alongside health and social care colleagues in the statutory sector.
She has experience in the management and training of specialist support teams and her work currently includes the provision of bespoke training packages for support teams to facilitate community rehabilitation.

Karen Patient
Karen joined CA Case Management Ltd in 2022 as a brain and spinal cord injury case manager, having worked in this field since 2012. She has experience working with clients in hospital, residential rehabilitation services and community settings, which has given her an excellent understanding of the challenges and complexities faced by clients and their families after sustaining a brain or spinal cord injury.
Karen is involved in all aspects of the case management role. She provides detailed costed case management reports in addition to Immediate Needs Assessments. She has extensive experience in the coordination of services and professionals as well as support worker recruitment and line management, including large 24-hour care teams.
Karen has experience from the point of hospital discharge, to inpatient rehabilitation as well as adaptation of property, and ongoing therapy. She has expertise in case management assessment and from this in supporting clients and their families to identify realistic goals and researching resources to achieve those goals. She has a sound clinical knowledge of the impact serious injuries and complex healthcare needs have on the individual and their ability to perform activities of daily living, leisure, and work activities.

Caroline Wilkinson
Caroline qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1985, and since then has specialised in the field of neuroscience, working as a Senior Nurse/Sister in several world renowned centres of excellence in both neuro and general critical care units, in the UK and in Australia.
Since 2007, Caroline has worked as an adults’ brain and spinal cord injury case manager, providing bespoke case management services for adults with catastrophic injuries including traumatic and acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, complex orthopaedic injuries, or other complex disabilities.
Caroline has extensive experience working with adult clients ranging from those with high levels of complex physical disabilities, to those who may be more independently mobile, but who have complex cognitive and behavioural disabilities. She has acted as a case manager for many clients with spinal cord injury, including the setting up and management of two-to-one 24/7 community care packages, as well as ensuring their clinical and rehabilitation needs are met and supporting them to achieve aspirational goals.

Lynne Barbone
Lynne qualified as a Social Worker in 1998 and gained substantial experience as a practising Social Worker in the community, working for Essex County Council and Windsor and Maidenhead Council.
As a social worker, Lynne has worked with a complex caseload of adults with wide ranging conditions including neurological conditions, brain injury and learning disability. She worked as a Senior Social Worker and then Team Manager for a team of independent social workers undertaking complex annual care reviews.
Lynne moved into case management in 2019, continuing to gain experience of managing complex clients and their care teams, setting up independent living opportunities for a number of young clients wanting to live in their own home for the first time, and co-ordinating all the necessary services and MDT professionals required for both rehabilitation and long-term support of complex disability.
